The ELV Skateboarding and Longboarding Experience

Founder of ELV, Gerald is a sports coach that has 10 years of teaching experience in sports and languages. He is also an enthusiastic skater and skaters' event host who's passionate in Traditional Skateboarding, Downhill & Freestyle Longboarding, He founded the ELV Skateboard & Longboard Experience to enable people in Hong Kong to enjoy all that skate offers: the fun in exploring new spots in the city, the community, the supportive culture, the adrenaline rushes, and the development of personal character such as persistence and will power.

My name is Juan-Claude (JC), as a coach, I have over 14 years of experience coaching children from all ages, including gymnastics, skateboard, cricket, skim board, rugby and football.

Sports has been a major part of my life,I enjoy coaching and playing all kind of sports. I started as a tumbling and acrobatic gymnast when I was 2 years old and represented South Africa competed in world championship(Gymnastics) since the age of 9.

I enjoy working with kids and while they are having fun learning i am also having fun coaching the kids

COACHING STYLE

I believe that fun is the most important element to any sport at an early age. At a young age I really

enjoyed sports because it was fun and I learned a lot from the sports I played. Therefore I always ensure the kids I coach are having as much fun as possible in my classes. When sports is fun, children will be more likely to carry on or pick up a sport when they grow older.

In my sessions, I will always make sure children are having fun, but also learning the necessary transferable skills they’ll need to participate in sport in their future.
