I taught for 5 years with Autistic students in a school district 4 years in an Elementary School and 1 year in Middle School. I got my TEFL certificate and moved overseas to teach English in Taiwan in August 2018. I taught English there until June 2020.
I taught kids ranging in ages from as young as 3 years old all the way to teenagers up to 16 years old. I have been teaching English online since 2017.
I provide one-on-one lessons to build a relationship with the child to foster a fun learning environment. I will use picture cards and simple sentences to improve English vocabulary and knowledge. To make the class fun to promote learning
we will read stories, do craft activities, sing songs, and games. I really believe that children learn the best by making a connection with their teacher and they feel comfortable learning which in turn makes them successful outside of the class.
